Good Food
My sister-in-law, Maggie, is looking for a few good meals. So here are 2 that we like to cook- fast and simple.
Salsa Chili
-ground beef or turkey (browned)
-chopped onion
-salsa (which ever variety you like)
-pinto beans
-tomato juice
(I did not put quantities, because the more salsa and tomato juice you use, the larger the dish becomes, and add beans and meat, etc to make it the right proportions)
Basically you put all these ingredients into a pot, let it cook until it's heated through.
We garnish with sour cream, cheese and tortilla chips.
Chicken & Green Bean Casserole
-1 can green beans, drained (sometimes I add a can of corn too)
-1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
-2 cups diced chicken or turkey
-1 cup cooked rice
-1/2 cup milk
-1 can French fried onion rings
combine beans, soup, chicken, rice and milk
pour into a baking dish, top with paprika if you want
bake at 350 for 20 minutes, top with onion rings, bake for 1o more minutes or until golden brown
Enjoy!

I'm a proud parent....
It has been a rough week at our house. All week we dealt with nasty nasty diaper rash and diarrhea. It started last Monday, and our mantra has been, 'oh he's just teething' but he's 7 months old and still no teeth.
But we have teeth now! I noticed his first tooth last night, front- lower left side. So the mystery of the sickness this week as been solved.
And he's mastered some fun skills this week too. He is a crawling machine, he can use his arms and legs and moves fast. He sit up like a big boy, and can lay on his stomach, roll to his back and then go back to seated position. And one more trick, he can pull himself up in the or on the floor and balance on his knees.
It's fun to watch him growing.

Balloon fun
He was so fun this evening, I just have to post the fun clips from this evening. So bare with me.
Here's some more
I saw him for the first time tonight do a few things I haven't seen yet. It's great to see him learning so fast. So here is some video of him on his knees. He is also able to go from a crawling position to a seated position, another first for this evening, but couldn't get any video of it.
