Mr and Mrs Nawikas

This past weekend, Sept 6-9 we spent the weekend in Northern WI in St Germain with my family and other friends at my brother Joe and Suz' wedding.  It was a great time.  What a fun destination wedding, no need to go to Mexico or Hawaii (even though that would have been nice) when Northern WI is beautiful and peaceful too.  The weather could have been a tad warmer, and it would have been nice had it not rained on the wedding day, pretty much the whole second half of the day, from the time the ceremony started pretty much the rest of the night.  But enough about the rain, they made the best of it, the crowd cheered them on, and we all stayed with the happy couple as they made it official in the rain.  And besides, they have weathered so many other storms on camping trips etc, why not one on the wedding day.  Other than the rain, it was a great day and great party, beautiful.  Joe and Suz have a great group of friends that came to help them celebrate.  Best of luck you guys!

Adam ran his first half marathon.  He did good, the offical time was meerly seconds off of what he was hoping for, and I chalk that up to the scene below, as the kids ran to greet him at the finish, he wanted them to run with him, but they didn't really understand, so there was time lost there.  So in my mind he had his goal.

Here were are getting ready for Joe and Suz to walk down the isle.  Such a cute picture.

Mr and Mrs Nawikas.  It's going to take me some time to get used to that.  When I hear that I think of my parents, not my brother......

We did some fishing and boating and playing around in the sand and at the playgrounds.  Brennan really wanted to fish, and the fish were hungry, but he wanted nothing to do with them when they were actually on the hook.  But he has progressed, last year at this time we were with Joe and Suz at Mermaid Lake and Brennan caught a fish, and it was a blood curldling scream that came from him.

here were are doing some canoeing.  Dad was a great paddler so we could sit in the back and take photos.
